PRO TEAMS – 3 NATIONAL QUALIFIERS
Pro teams are WAVE’s highest level team in that age group. They will compete a full USAV season and compete in top-level Open events in Florida and travel to National Qualifiers in and out of state. This team will run from November to the end of April at the FL Regional Qualifier. They will practice two times a week and participate in a total of 8 events, with three of those events being National Qualifiers. If the team qualifies they will travel to USAV Nationals in late June/early July. This team is for very experienced players who are working on playing at a varsity level and having the option to play in college.
RIP TEAMS – 2 NATIONAL QUALIFIERS
Rip teams are typically WAVE’s 2nd level if they have two teams in one age group, but can be a top team as well. This package is essentially the same as the Pro level teams with two practices a week and a total of 8 events. The difference is Rip teams only attend 2 National Qualifiers compared to 3.
SWELL TEAMS – 1 NATIONAL QUALIFIER
Swell teams are more of an intermediate level team where players compete in 7 in-state events which include one qualifier. These teams will complete their season after 4.5 months and most events will be in the Tampa/Orlando areas. This team still offers the same level of training as all the other teams, but competes in the club division at tournaments. This level is conducive for players who are intermediate players and working toward making a top team in the future as well as improving for their school teams.
BLACK TEAMS – 0 NATIONAL QUALIFIERS
Black teams are for players who are newer to club. They may only have 1-2 years of club experience. We offer black level teams from ages 11U-15U. This package has minimal travel with most of their events taking place in Tampa/Clearwater. They have a total of 6 in-state events and compete from November to the end of March. This level team is conducive for players who are beginner to intermediate and working on improving for their school teams.
